Also, Toys for Tots is our choice for getting gifts to kids this time of year. The Egner’s (Steve’s Plumbing) has allowed us use of one of their trucks to hopefully fill it with toys!! Let’s rally and get Toys for kids. Here’s the guidelines:
Guidelines for toy donations are simple: donated toys should be new and unwrapped, no stuffed animals, no guns of any type (nerf, squirt etc…) toys should be appropriate for ages 0-16 years. Though they screen all articles thoroughly for safety before delivering to the children, please keep safety in mind when you make your selections. Some toy suggestions: Sporting goods, toy cars/planes/boats, dolls (Barbie, G. I. Joe, etc.), board games, books, bicycles, scooters, puzzles, models, hand-held video games and small electronics. Each year there are particular age/gender groups that do not receive enough toys through donations. Please consider donating a toy for an older boy/girl (12+ years of age) as well as toys for ages 18 months up. It’s important keep in mind when selecting a toy; it may be the only present the child will receive this holiday.
