SAVE THE DATE: HIKING SATURDAY JULY 18th
Snowy Creek to Rock Mountain
(The Glacier Peak Area)
Despite the heavy elevation gain, this is a trail worth trying for anyone in decent shape (Crossfitters, family, friends, all are welcome).
Distance 9 miles r/t
Time 5-6h r/t
Elevation Gain 3350 ft
Maximum Elevation 6852 ft
For those who are worried about the distance, this is a two part hike. You can hike Snowy Creek (2 mile 1200 ft/elevation) and have lunch out in the meadow and call it a day, or you can partake in phase two, onto Rock Mountain.
Rock Mountain bears to the left of the meadow and into the forest climbing steeply and relentlessly for 2.5 miles. The last, long traverse up the grassy slope-side is full of views and amazing picture opportunities.

Anyone who is interested in going please sign up at the gym or give me a call (425)697-7108. I would also like to arrange carpools so it is important to know who is planning o going for the full hike/partial hike. I’m so excited for this hike it should be very CrossFit like.
